The Waterloo Catholic District School uses SmartFind to let staff notify the board of impending absences for illness (sick or medical appointment), PD activities, sports, and extracurricular events so that supply teachers or on-calls can be booked. Here is the link and the phone number:

- (519) 578-1544 is the SmartFind system phone number
You can only report an absence (and book a supply) within the seven day period preceding the absence.
Be nice and email your school secretary well in advance (even if you can't put it on SmartFind yet) so that he/she can schedule on-calls and point out any potential pitfalls you may be unaware of.
